Welcome to Walton Base Loft with a beautiful view of Steamboat Springs resort perched above a quiet grassy courtyard with outdoor deck seating, with a cozy wood-burning fireplace and an updated kitchen with a classic cabin feeling.

Downstairs, the main living area, a dining table for 8, and another 4 at the breakfast bar. The upstairs is a complete secondary living space — a full living room with its own Smart TV, two queen beds and video gaming area. At 1,457 square feet with two full bathrooms and two separate living areas, nine people have room to spread out: kids upstairs, adults by the fire, nobody negotiating over one couch.

You're a half a mile from the resort and about 2 miles from downtown Steamboat, with the free city bus stops right outside the front door. Ten minutes to the Gondola Transit Center in the morning, and the same Main Line route runs into town for dinner. Park once when you arrive and leave the car until you go home.

In winter, catch the bus at the door and you're at the mountain — no parking lot, no icy windshield, no one drawing the short straw as designated driver. Come home, build a fire, and drop into the hot tub that runs all year.

In summer, the Yampa River Core Trail is 0.2 miles away — walk or bike it downtown, or float the river for an afternoon. Pro Rodeo under the lights on Friday and Saturday nights, free concerts at the base of Howelsen Hill, the Saturday farmers market, and hot air balloons over the valley most mornings. The bus racks bikes, the pool opens, and the aspens go gold in late September.

Please note: 4WD/AWD or vehicles with chains may be required to access Steamboat when traveling during snow and winter weather conditions. The condo is off of a major road, that is plowed regularly, but still, winter driving conditions exist.

GETTING AROUND WITHOUT YOUR CAR
Steamboat's city bus is free, and Stop 115 — Walton Creek/Deer Creek — is right outside the front door on the Main Line, the route connecting downtown, west Steamboat, and the mountain. Twelve to fifteen minutes to the Gondola Transit Center. Unlike the private winter shuttles most condos rely on, the city bus runs year-round, so it works in August as well as January. Buses carry bike racks in summer, and transit directions work in Google Maps and most map apps. Park once when you arrive and don't think about the car again.
